Tenuta Meraviglia is a unique project: it is our other estate in the Bolgheri area, with red wines all 100% Cabernet Franc and a small Vermentino vineyard. The experience begins with a splendid tour in the vineyards aboard the iconic vintage Defender: the visit lasts about 30 minutes and it is an opportunity not only to see the vineyards up close, planted on soils of volcanic origin rich in stones known as rhyolites, but also to enjoy the unspoiled landscape and the view of the blue sea.
From the other side, you have a view as far as the eye can see, with the vineyards and the pines, the cork trees and behind them the sky and the sea merging.
Once the tour is over, we go to the wine shop for a tasting of the three wines of Tenuta Meraviglia: Botro dei Fichi Bolgheri Vermentino Doc, which is aged for a part in Tuscan oak and chestnut barrels, Bolgheri Rosso Doc that surprises for its elegance and finesse, and finally Maestro di Cava Bolgheri Superiore Doc, a selection of the best grapes from the vineyard that is produced in limited quantities and tells all the beauty and complexity of Cabernet Franc. Together with the wine, there will be a small tasting of Tenuta Meraviglia Bolgheri Toscano Igp olive oil, produced from our olive groves on the estate.
