DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
The Novecento Vertical Tasting is an in-depth experience to discover how a wine evolves over time. By tasting different vintages of wine, it is indeed possible to appreciate the different nuances it has developed over the years and perceive its distinctive characteristics. Doing so with the Chianti Classico Riserva Novecento in particular also means retracing important pieces of our winery’s history. Novecento is, in fact, an iconic Dievole wine: created in 1990 to celebrate Dievole’s 900th anniversary, it recalls its long history and the vicissitudes that have followed over the years. A Verticale tasting of this wine is a real journey into the history and philosophy of our winery and in general of Chianti Classico area.
The activity starts in the Wine Shop where a sommelier introduces the world of Dievole, then continues with a guided tour of the production cellar and the refining room.
Once you reach the evocative room of the Wine Club, the vertical tasting of the Chianti Classico Novecento begins, starting from the most recent vintage in order to perceive the structure and complexity of the older vintages.
